Raising Little Warriors for the Kingdom of God - Part 1

The Word of God:

One of my biggest goals for having this website, is to not only share my products, but to encourage, inspire and help other parents and even grandparents, raise our children up to be little warriors for the Kingdom of God. Our children need to be equipped, physically, emotionally, and spiritually to fight the battles that will come against us. Jesus tells us in John 16:33, "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." Jesus didn't say that we will never face trouble, he clearly states that we will. We will all face trouble in this world, and it's so important that we equip ourselves to face these things so we are not moved and can remember that He has overcome this world.

The first and most important thing when Raising Little Warriors, is to equip them with the Word of God. Grab ahold of the bible, or even a children's bible, and speak the word into their lives, their hearts, and their minds. Allow that word to be rooted so deep, that it's the first thing that comes out of their mouth when trouble comes. I try to practice scripture with my kids every day. We will sit around the dinner table and memorize different verses. We typically will study one verse for a week or two, just depending on how well they are catching on to the verse. Once they start to memorize it, we will practice our memorized verses in the car when we drive, and I will blurt out a verse in the bible and they will try to resight the scripture. It has honestly been such a fun game for us, and it also allows the word of God to be rooted deep in their hearts. Here is a couple of Bibles I use most with them.

Children's Bible

Women's Study Bible

Bible Made Easy

Memory Verses

Using a whiteboard has been one of my favorite techniques in helping the kids to memorize scripture. I will write the scripture of the week, and we can visually see it to memorize. I also hear them throughout the day going to the board and reading it themselves. It's absolutely the cutest thing! Here are a few different whiteboards that I feel would help with memorizing scripture.

Small Easy Whiteboard

Magnetic Whiteboard

Refrigerator Magnetic Whiteboard

I try to incorporate the Word of God and encouragement into my kids throughout the day. I have made a couple different books, and it has been a huge factor in raising them up for the Kingdom of God.

ABC Scripture Book

Godly Affirmation Book

As a parent or grandparent, equipping yourself is just as important as equipping your kids. How will you be able to pour into them, if you have yet to be filled? Here are my all time favorite books to fill me up, equip me with knowledge, and encourage me.

Parenting with Love & Logic

The Five Love Languages for Kids

The Awe of God

Believer's Authority

The Lord blesses us with so many years to train up our children. Let's use these years wisely, and actively pour into them. Make a goal to sow as many seeds into their lives as possible, so as they grow, they will continually harvest all of those seeds.

"Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it. " Proverbs 22:6.
